Education: B.Sc. in Physics, Mutah University, Alkarak, Jordan, 2001; M.Sc. in Physics, University of Stuttgart, Stuttgart, Germany, 2006; Ph.D. in Physics, Max-Planck-Institute for Solid State Research and University of Stuttgart, Stuttgart, Germany, 2010.

Mohammed Bakr worked as a Research associate at the Max-Planck-Institute for Solid State Research in 2010-2011, and at the Centre for Synchrotron Radiation (DELTA) at the TU Dortmund University in 2011-2012. In 2012, he joined the Physics Department at Jazan University as an Assistant Professor.
Mohammed is mainly concerned with optical spectroscopy in complex materials. Topics of his particular interest include unconventional superconductivity and the interplay between magnetism and superconductivity in transition-metal-oxide heterostructures and superlattices. Additional topic of his activity is generating ultrafast x-ray radiation necessary to resolve fast dynamic phenomena of materials.
