Jazan University Celebrates World Tourism Day
The Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Jazan University celebrated the World Tourism Day last Sunday in the presence of Dr. Abdulaziz Mohammed Hakami, the Dean of the college, tourism specialists in Jazan region, officials of the General Authority for Tourism and National Heritage and tourism companies in the region.
 
Dr. Faisal Tomaihi, the head of Tourism and Antiquities Department said that the department participated with many activities such as posting the photographs of the students in the department on the World Tourism Organization official website using Instagram application, as well as a lecture presented by Bassem Abu Ela entitled "billion tourists = billion opportunity" that underscored the university contributions in reckoning the significance of tourism to countries, communities, and its potentiality as a power for goodness and creating a better world for all besides tourism industry potential contribution in achieving these goals.
 
Dr. Tomaihi said that Tourism and Antiquities Department at Jazan University celebrates this international day annually as a response to the World Tourism Organization and UNESCO call, and considers it an opportunity to apprise the public and draw their attention to tourism in the region by presenting its natural and modern artificial tourist attractions.
