Dr. Mahgoub is currently working as assistant professor, nuclear physics, Jazan University. He worked as a research scientist at PITZ project (http://pitz.desy.de) by DESY the German Electron-Synchrotron research center (http://www.desy.de/index_eng.html) , Germany from 2009 until 2012. He worked as a researcher, then as a post doctor in the group E12 nuclear physics, physics department, Technical University of Munich (https://www.ph.tum.de) , Germany from 2003 until 2009.
Dr. Mahgoub has worked in many research facilities, e.g. Maier-Leibnitz Laboratory MLL (www.mll-muenchen.de), FRMII nuclear reactor (www.frm2.tum.de), CERN laboratory, REX-ISOLDE (www.home.web.cern.ch) and other numerous international facilities. During his career he has trained many post graduate students (M.Sc. and Ph.D.). He has also taught courses like Basic and Advanced Nuclear Physics, General Physics, Mathematical Physics for undergraduate students.
Dr. Mahgoub is a member of the German Physics Society (DPG). He is a member of the German Committee for Accelerator Physics. He is a Reviewer for the journal "Nuclear instruments and Methods in Physics Research A". He is a Reviewer and advisory board member for the International Workshop on Theoretical and Applied Physics 2016-Istanbul, Turkey. He is also a committee member and secretary of the Saudi International Meeting on Frontiers of Physics SIMFP for the years 2015 and 2016.
Dr. Mahgoub is a member of the German Committee for Accelerator Physics, Germany. He is also a member of the Post graduate Committee and the Research Committee, physics department at Jazan University, KSA.
